Mount Moriah Project
Supporting Education in Jamaica
We partner with Jamaican communities to design, build, and enhance educational facilities that inspire learning and unlock potential. Following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, we’re actively supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts to restore and strengthen school infrastructure.
Project Focus:
- Hurricane recovery and structural rebuilding
- Libraries that open worlds of knowledge
- Science and technology labs for future innovators
- Sports facilities promoting health and teamwork
- Agricultural learning centers connecting students to sustainable practices
- Gymnasiums fostering physical development and community gathering
- Recycling Initiatives: Implementing recycling programs, waste-management education, and community partnerships to reduce pollution and encourage reuse.
- Modern classrooms equipped for 21st-century learning
Our Approach:
Collaborative design with local communities, sustainable construction practices, skills transfer to local builders, hurricane-resilient building standards, and long-term maintenance planning.
Impact:
Creating educational environments where Jamaican students can dream bigger, learn deeper, and achieve more—even in the face of natural disasters.
Why These Projects Matter
Youth Carpentry Program: Addresses the critical need for skilled trades in Edmonton, provides alternatives to traditional education paths, prevents youth disengagement, and creates pathways to meaningful careers right here in our community.
Mount Moriah Project: Recognizes that quality educational facilities matter everywhere, supports communities investing in their own futures, honors Jamaican innovation and design, and creates sustainable impact across generations.
