On November 23rd, 2025, we hosted an inspiring and heartfelt fundraising concert at Union Hall in Edmonton, Alberta, in support of the Rise for Jamaica initiative. This event was a powerful testament to the strength of community and the spirit of giving.
The evening featured an incredible array of performers, showcasing diverse cultural music from Toronto, across Canada, and even Jamaica. We were honored to have Edmonton’s Mayor and a representative from the Premier’s office in attendance, both of whom expressed their gratitude for the initiative and the collective efforts to support those impacted by the devastating hurricane in Jamaica.
Local talent shone brightly, reflecting Edmonton’s rich and vibrant artistic community. The concert not only celebrated music and culture but also served a greater purpose. Every dollar raised through ticket sales went directly to the relief efforts, providing essential supplies such as food, water boots, generators, and other critical equipment to communities in need.
This event was a beautiful example of how we can come together as a community to make a difference. Learning for Vision remains committed to supporting not only Jamaica but also other global relief efforts. We look forward to continuing this journey and making a lasting impact around the world.
Stay tuned for more updates and join us in our mission to create positive change, not only in Jamaica but also here in Edmonton and around the world. We are committed to mentoring and empowering individuals to become valuable contributors within their communities and homes.
